Maria’s Message of Gratitude

Laughter, joy and anticipation filled the air as preschool owners from ASAP’s Educational Toy Libraries gathered for their annual, end of the year celebration. South Africans across the board love parties—decorations, music, great food, dancing…!

In the video above you will be moved by Maria Nienaber’s deep gratitude for Adopt a South African Preschool donors. Watch her delight as she awards the ASAP prize of art supplies to the owner at each hub whose school made the most progress in 2025. (Maria directs the preschool coaching program for ASAP’s partner NGO called PEN.)

Maria accurately told owners that ASAP views each one as a hero for their hard work in ensuring that disadvantaged children gain the foundation for success. The toys in ASAP’s libraries are not just toys-- they are tools that open to creativity, exploration, problem-solving, skill development, and to the fun, joy, teamwork, and confidence-building of learning through play.
